Explore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art on a Discovery tour, sketch tour or Auslan encounter. Connect to culture with your hands in a weaving workshop, or with your feet in a hip-hop inspired dance session!

Enjoy a visual conversation and workshop with artist Claire Wildish and her kids Jonah and Hugo, who spent five years growing up in the remote Irrunytju Aboriginal community. Make your mark on the conversation canvas while hearing tales of connection to country, stranding and rescue, art supplies in unlikely places, and the malpa wiru (good friends) who changed their lives.

Don a colourful costume, befriend a larger-than-life native creature, and enjoy a tall tale from master storyteller Greg Wood in Evelyn Roth’s incredible inflatable playland.

A signed and spoken, Deaf-led encounter with a Tarnanthi artwork. This is an Auslan-centred session with spoken English interpretation, for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and hearing people alike. All welcome!

In 2019, Adelaide Fringe's signature project was an immersive Kaurna storytelling experience involving large-scale light and sound artworks along the Karrawirra Parri (River Torrens). For all 31 nights of the 2019 Fringe, audiences could experience free audio and visual artworks that share Kaurna stories and illuminate the river, riverbanks and grasslands using cutting edge technology and state of the art illumination.

Sunny Sunday Inspiration

Sundays sunshine brought out Evelyn’s amazing Floral & Cactus inflatable! Forever the creator Evelyn has been busy on her latest inspiration on her sewing machine making two new large cacti, that kids little and big can climb inside with places for their faces to look out and arms to waggle around!

This beautiful display will be available from mid-September for hire as a sculptural piece.

TEDDY BEARS PICNIC at the Adelaide Zoo Sunday August 25th

Evelyn Roth’s Nylon Zoo will be entertaining the kidlets, young and old from 10 to 3pm on Sunday August 25th as part of the TEDDY BEARS PICNIC!

Grab your favourite teddy bear and picnic blanket and join us for a fun-filled family day out at our Teddy Bears’ Picnic!

Throw out your blanket on the central lawns and enjoy a host of free activities for your little ones including free bubbles thanks to AGL Energy, face painting, performances, EnV Slime Factory, children’s crafts with Splodge and storytelling with children’s author Angela Castell.

Children can even take their furry friends for a quick check-up at the Teddy Bears’ Hospital to ensure they are in the bear-y best of health.

They can also get involved in interactive storytelling at Evelyn Roth’s immersive Nylon Zoo, allowing them to fly like a bird, flutter by like a butterfly, swoop like a bat, hop like a frog, swim like a fish or bobble like a hoopla mushroom in exotic costumes for dance and storytelling inside a giant inflatable Panda Bear!

Evelyn Roth Arts Celebrates START at AGSA, 10th Birthday! Sunday 4th August

This past Sunday , we were proud to be part of START program’s 10th Anniversary celebrations at the Art Gallery of South Australia. We Brough along our inflatable presents, our coloured banners and of course our costumes. The kids, small and big alike and a wonderful time! Check out START at AGSA, it’s amazing!!

Start at the Gallery is an exciting introduction to art for children aged 3-12 and their families. Held on the first Sunday of every month, Start is a free family-fun day and includes art activities, tours, live performances and entertainment. Each monthly event is themed around current exhibitions or the general collection. Start is held on the first Sunday of each month, 11am–3pm. Events are free and no bookings are necessary.

The Barossa Regional Gallery are super excited to be hosting the amazing Nylon Zoo as part of this July’s school holiday workshop program. The NYLON ZOO is a choreographed participatory event - you are the dancers and performers! Fly like a bird or butterfly, hop like a frog or kangaroo, twirl in a rainbow cape, swim like a fish, bobble like a hoopla mushroom. Then come inside our Inflatable Story Theatre and let your imagination guide you through some wonderful stories! An experience all children will enjoy.
This is a gold coin donation event and maximum of 30 participants per session. Secure your place via Eventbrite and pay at the door.

The Nylon Zoo first featured at the Arts Festival in 2014 and has since been featuring at WOMAdelaide – where it has been a popular event for over 20 years.

The Nylon Zoo is a choreographed participatory event – you are the dancers and performers! Fly like a bird, hop like a frog or kangaroo, twirl in a rainbow cape, swim like a fish, bobble like a hoopla mushroom.

The giant inflatable story telling theatre will also feature at the Festival! So, make sure you come along and join in the fun!

Cost: Gold Coin Donation

Evelyn's Panda & Costumes at Ignite Unley Movie Night Friday 12th April

Join the City of Unley and the Confucius Institute at the University of Adelaide to celebrate United Nations Chinese Language Day on Friday 12 April.

From 4pm, the Village Green will come alive with free activities for kids, authentic food, live music, and the family favourite “Kung Fu Panda 3” screened at sunset (approx. 6.15pm).

Bring a picnic rug, celebrate the start of the school holidays and experience “Kung Fu Panda 3” on the Village Green.
